Wherever vibrations occur, dampers in carbon brushes have been proving their worth for decades. However, due to rising requirements in modern power tools, e.g. hammer drills and chipping hammers, carbon brushes and commutators are exposed to increasing demands. As a consequence, dampers have to diminish vibrations getting ever more intense, in order to avoid irregular carbon brush run and commutator sparking.
With the new damper your carbon brushes are well prepared to meet future requirements. The patented technique consists of a tub-shaped groove at the head of the carbon brush, which is filled with a liquid casting compound. This simple production process can be easily automated, enabling efficient production methods at lower costs. The result is a thermally high resistant damper with a high mechanical load capacity that convinces with high operating reliability and reduced manufacturing costs.
